Bavaria Statue

Cast in several parts between 1844 and 1850, this 18.52-metre bronze figure was the first colossal statue since Classical Antiquity made entirely from cast bronze. A circular stairway inside leads to a platform in her head, where four helmet openings look over the Theresienwiese and downtown Munich.
