Songkran

This is Thailand's most famous festival, marking the Buddhist New Year. The festival is best known for its water fights. People roam the streets with containers of water or water guns. In addition to the fun and games, it's also a time for family gatherings and paying respects to elders. The holiday lasts for three days, making it one of the longest public holidays in Thailand.
