Edinburgh Castle

Twenty-six sieges have struck this rock over 1,100 years. St Margaret’s Chapel dates from the early 12th century and is regarded as Edinburgh’s oldest building. The fortress also served as a royal residence, arsenal, treasury, prison and home of the Honours of Scotland.
