Poutine

Poutine combines French fries and cheese curds under hot brown gravy made from beef and chicken stock. It emerged in Quebec’s Centre-du-Québec region in 1959, though its exact origin remains disputed. Once used to mock Quebec society, it later became a symbol of Québécois culture.
