Stonehenge

The giant lintels are locked to their uprights with mortise-and-tenon joints, a construction detail unique among contemporary monuments. Inside, smaller bluestones surround three-stone trilithons, while the whole ruin points toward the summer-solstice sunrise and winter-solstice sunset.
