Contact

One address, read by the people who build it.

There is no ticket queue and no chatbot in front of it. Write to [email protected] and the reply comes from someone who can change the thing you are writing about.

The subject lines below are the whole routing system. Pick the one that fits and you will get a faster, more specific answer.

English only, for now.

What to send where

Five subject lines

Each one opens a mail to the same inbox with the subject already filled in.

Something is broken

Tell us what you did, what happened, and what you expected. A screenshot and the browser or phone you were using turn most reports into a fix on the same day; without them we are usually writing back to ask.

[email protected] · “Bug report

A question about using it

How check-ins are verified, why a route came out the way it did, what PRO changes, how to move your account between devices. If the answer is already in the app we will point at it rather than paraphrasing it badly.

[email protected] · “Support

Billing, cancelling or a refund

Subscriptions are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, so a receipt or the email you paid with is enough for us to find the order. The rules we hold ourselves to are in the Refund Policy, and this is how you invoke them.

[email protected] · “Billing

Your data

Access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data, under GDPR, UK GDPR or the CCPA. Say which one you want and from which account. We answer these within the window the Privacy Policy commits to.

[email protected] · “Data request

Partnership or press

Distribution, content, an integration, or a question for a piece you are writing. Say what you have in mind in a paragraph. It saves a round trip.

Before you write

Some answers are already written down

Four documents that answer the questions we are asked most, in more detail than an email would.

The operating entity and its registered address are named in the Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Questions

About writing to us

How fast do you reply?
Usually within a working day, and always faster if the subject line says what the email is about. Data requests are answered inside the window set out in the Privacy Policy, which is the one deadline here that is not a courtesy but an obligation.
Is there a phone number or a live chat?
No. GetMap is a small team and an inbox we actually read beats a chat widget nobody is behind at eleven at night. Email gets you a person, and a written record you can hold us to.
Do you have a form instead?
No, on purpose. A form asks you to fill in fields to satisfy a database; an email lets you say the thing in your own words, and it leaves the thread in your sent folder rather than only in ours.
Where do I report a problem with a specific quest or place?
Same address, with the quest's name and city in the subject. Places close, move and get rebuilt, and the catalogue is checked against Google rather than assumed to be permanent. Still, a report from someone who was standing there beats any check we can run remotely.
